At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Identify high-risk populations, including pregnant individuals, those with multiple sexual partners, and patients with a history of sexually transmitted infections, to guide early screening and management.
Implement evidence-based preventive strategies, such as promoting condom use, limiting unnecessary antibiotic exposure, and considering adjunctive therapies like probiotics for microbiome restoration.
Apply current evidence-based treatment guidelines, including the 2025 American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommendation regarding partner management in recurrent or symptomatic cases.
Collaborate with an interprofessional team to educate, treat, and monitor patients with bacterial vaginosis to improve outcomes.
