At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Assess clinical presentation, bleeding risk, coagulopathy, laboratory abnormalities, disease burden, and patient-specific factors in individuals with suspected or confirmed acute promyelocytic leukemia.
Determine the urgency of intervention, appropriate diagnostic testing, and optimal treatment strategy for patients presenting with suspected acute promyelocytic leukemia.
Evaluate treatment response, remission status, complications, molecular monitoring results, and long-term outcomes in patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia.
Develop interprofessional communication and collaborative care strategies among clinicians, hematologists, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses, transfusion medicine specialists, laboratory professionals, and other healthcare professionals to enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment coordination, and patient outcomes.
