At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Identify patients at risk for gonorrhea based on clinical factors.
Interpret diagnostic test results to distinguish between uncomplicated and disseminated gonococcal infections.
Apply current guidelines for gonococcal infections to select evidence-based antimicrobial therapy, including management of resistant strains.
Collaborate with interprofessional team members to coordinate management strategies, including partner management and counseling strategies, to improve outcomes in patients with gonococcal infections.
