Identify clinical features that differentiate lactational from nonlactational breast abscesses to determine the need for further evaluation.
Assess a patient with a breast abscess to determine the likelihood of a drainable abscess.
Apply diagnostic testing results to select appropriate antimicrobial therapy for breast abscesses.
Collaborate with interprofessional teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes for patients with breast abscesses.
