Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Evaluate patients for suitability for ocular ultrasound based on clinical presentation and risk factors.
Interpret point-of-care ultrasound findings to diagnose acute vision-threatening pathology.
Determine patient suitability for urgent escalation of care after ocular ultrasound based on identified pathologic features and clinical context.
Collaborate with members of the interprofessional team, including specialists such as emergency medicine physicians, ophthalmologists, and radiologists, to provide efficient, comprehensive, and coordinated care for individuals undergoing ocular ultrasound.
