Identify the signs and symptoms of acute otitis media, such as pain, fever, and hearing loss.
Select the appropriate antibiotics and other pharmacologic treatments for patients with acute otitis media.
Apply current evidence-based guidelines for tympanocentesis, myringotomy, and tympanostomy tube insertion in children with acute otitis media.
Implement interprofessional team strategies to improve care coordination and communication, thereby enhancing outcomes for patients with acute otitis media.
